Jess & Chris: Married

On Friday June 26th I had the great pleasure of photographing the wedding ceremony of Jess & Chris in Biddeford with a reception following at the Holiday Inn By the Bay! I have been looking forward to photographing the couple’s wedding for quite some time, as they were the first couple to book me for the 2009 wedding season.

Since our first meeting, I have adored Jess & Chris~ they are two individuals who came together to make one fabulous relationship! Jess is beautiful, driven and one of the sweetest people I have ever met and Chris is handsome, sincere and judging by his wedding countdown & the multiple sentiments he leaves on Jess’s Facebook wall very romantic.

I started the day with Jess & the girls at her mom’s house~ where the final preparations were coming into place.

I love this shot of Jess helping her little cousin put on some lip gloss

Jess and the couple's beloved Cooper

There was a brief rain shower just as the shower was about to start

The beautiful church

The rain gave way to a lovely evening~ we were able to go to a local park to get the formals done

Another beautiful creation by Gayle at Let Them Eat Cake

The couple used photos from their engagement session that I photographed in different aspects of their day

The first dance

They didn't take their eyes off each other once during the dance

Jess and her dad~ who also ended up being quite the popular man on the dance floor

Chris and his mom

Jess and Chris~ as always thank you for allowing me to get to know the two of you and for sharing in your day!

Carrie & Kyle: Happy 4th of July

I spent a fantastic Fourth of July in the company of Carrie, Kyle and all of the fabulous family and friends shooting their wedding. Before heading over to Jones Landing via a water taxi we stopped at East End Beach - the site of the couple's first date - to do some fun formal shots~

Melissa & Gregory: Married

I had the best time photographing the wedding of Melissa and Gregory at the Coastal House in Wells. I started the morning at the hotel where the couple was staying to get some detail and getting ready shots.

A toast to love and friendship

Gregory was full of emotion as Melissa was walking down the aisle

They were so cute during their ceremony~ sharing laughter and tears

Becoming husband and wife

Time for the formals~ I loved Melissa's bouquet

A special photo request by the groom~ loved it!

Off to the Coastal House where the couple shared their first dance, and then invited all of their guests to the dance floor with them~

As a surprise to her husband~ Melissa arranged for his favorite drink, chocolate milk to be served for the toasts

Like the rest of the day the toasts were filled with lots more laughter and tears

Melissa and Gregory have one of the more unique " how we met" stories, that I have heard. They were actually set-up through Melissa's great-grandmother~ the couple refer to her as their matchmaker. Though she was in the wedding only in spirit, she still served as a big part of the day, Melissa had a beautiful locket that belonged to her great-grandmother tied around her bouquet, I used it as part of the ring shot because it was her (in the bottom photo) that made this day possible!

Melissa dancing with her dad

Gregory and his mom

After the formalities~ the party kicked off, the dance floor was hopping well into the night

Melissa and Gregory~ thank you so much for choosing me to document such an amazing day in your lives! I wish you all the best in your new home and in your future happiness!

Christina & Mike: Married

A couple of weeks ago I had the great pleasure of photographing the wedding of Christina and Mike. The ceremony was held at the Cathedral in Portland followed by a reception at the Spring Meadows Golf Course.

I absolutely adore Christina and Michael~ they are so loving towards each other and they have such a great group of family and friends!

When photographing weddings, I always try to get shots of the important details that couples choose to make their day more personal~ here is the ring bearer's pillow that actually belonged to her grandmother.

The beautiful bouquet

Something blue was an earring belonging to the grandmother~ Christina tied them to her bouquet

Getting ready with help from her girls

Flower cones adorned the church pews

Taking a sneak peak to make sure the coast was clear to enter the church

My second time shooting at the cathedral~ it is such a gorgeous church

Blessings

After church formals we headed to the East End to get some sunny shots

My favorite

How sweet are they?

A mini cake to cut and cupcakes served as part of the dessert for the evening

Christina having a dance with her grandfather

Christina's grandfather wanted to stay long enough at the reception till she and Mike danced their first dance, I was glad to have gotten this shot of him as they had that dance

Christina dancing with her dad

Mike and his mom

Also on the dessert menu~ and ice cream bar! Yummers!

Another nice personal touch was the couple played the first dance songs of their parents

Christina and Mike are leaving this week for their honeymoon~ they are going on a food tour of Italy! Taking cooking classes and eating their way to romance! How great does that sound?

Christina and Mike thank you so much for letting me photograph your wedding~ it was a wonderful day for two wonderful people!!

Tracy & Shawn: Married

I had the great pleasure in photographing the wedding of Tracy and Shawn. Tracy is actially the sister of past bride Randi, so it was fun for me to get to spend time with her family and friends again. The ceremony and reception took place at the Town & Country Motor Inn in the heart of the White Mountains of New Hampshire.

I joined Tracy as she was getting ready~ check out that smile~ she was so excited about getting married!

I was also able to grab some shots of the guys preparations~ here is Shawn getting some help from one of his groomsmen

I didn't see the smile leave her face all day~ how sweet is she

Time to get married

After the ceremony there was plenty of time for the formal portraits

Onto reception fun~ Tracy's nephew was having fun with the disposable cameras

First dances

The couple's sweet little girl wanted to join them for a slow dance

The party got going, and didn't stop all night

Lots of love on the dance floor at this wedding

A final slow dance of the evening

Michelle & Dave : Married

Warning**** Loooong post ahead :)

I need to get the old keister in gear and do some blogging, so what better way to do that, then to post a long post of Michelle & Dave wedding that I shot a couple of weeks ago at the Dockside Guest Quarters in York. It was such a lovely day, with a lovely couple and a their lovely family and friends.

Michelle is a recent graduate of Maine College of Art and this girl put all her talent to fabulous use when it came tile to planning the wedding to the man of her dreams.

With a degree in graphic design I was BLOWN away with the details that she put into their wedding~ here is their program!

Next up the bride's details~ I love this set that she found at D. Cole in the Old Port

A pretty yellow and white shawl was the perfect accent to her dress

Lovely!!!

Dave watching Michelle coming down the aisle

Wasting no time, the couple greeted each other with a kiss

This is how every groom should look at his bride on their wedding day

The wedding was small and intimate, family and best friends playing major roles in the day~ Michelle's sister Jo had the honor of marrying the couple

I love when couples can't take their eyes off each other

The vows were hand written and personal to each~ both ended theirs with something that made the other laugh

Married!

Time for the formals~ there are lots of great places around the Dockside to shoot the formals

Onto more reception details~ tables were named after places that were important in their lives. Of course Michelle designed all of the accents.

Bowls of lemons and limes were used as centerpieces

A fantastic menu was served up to their guests

The speeches were heartfelt and funny

The couple are huge animal lovers~ this book was used as their guest book! Guests left their well wishes on the page of their favorite dog photo

In lieu of favors donations were made to the Animal Refuge League

First dance as husband and wife

Dancing with their parents~

Their parents are both celebrating 30 years of marriage this year~ congratulations!

DJ Fred Pappalardo spun the music and kept the dancing floor moving

The cake cutting was fun~ with the couple and guests singing along to Sweet Caroline~ a chocolate cake with creamsicle frosting, I bet it was so good, so good!

Michelle & Dave thank you sooooo much for letting me be a part of your wedding day! You guys are wonderful! I wish you all the best in your future happiness!
