A Cookie A Day......

I wanted to take a minute blog readers to share with you a little information about my new favorite company Cookies Direct, located right here in Yarmouth. I first heard of the company last spring when my mom let me know that I could order fresh cookies from them and that they would ship them overseas to my husband Corey who at the time was stationed in Saudi Arabia. I checked out Cookie Direct's site and was not only impressed by the quality of Deb's cookies but also the Club 9 Program that Deb and her online shoppers support. When a customer orders from Cookies Direct they have the option of joinging Club 9~ which means for $9.00 they can buy an extra dozen cookies. When parents, spouses, neighbors, school groups or anyone else sends cookies to their loved ones serving in the military overseas Deb will include the extra dozen cookies for them to share with all of their fellow troops and a note is included letting them know that they were donated by someone in Your Town, US. How great is that? I sent Corey a few dozen cookies while he was overseas and thanks to the kind generosity of Deb and other online shoppers extra dozens were sent for him to share his buddies as well!

Deb is kind enough to send us shoppers a note when she could use some help with donations to Club 9, so I orded some cookies on Tuesday afternoon and couldn't believe when they showed up at my door at work the very next morning (thank you UPS)! I shared the cookies with my coworkers, and of course Corey who took all the ginger krinkles(Thanks Deb!) for himself~ and we all agreed they are some of the best cookies any of us have had. My favorite was the Coconut Almond Chocolate Chip, other big hits were the sugar and peanut butter chocolate chip.

Something I found on Deb's site that I thought was a wonderful idea was she now offers Out of Town Gift Boxes for you to have waiting in your guests rooms when they check into their hotel for your wedding festivities. What a delicous surprise for your guests that would be. So be sure to check them out and of course make sure to think about adding an extra dozen onto your order to thank those special folks who are serving overseas.
