A Merry Christmas 2012

Hard to believe that Christmas is here.... it always seems to be such a scramble between the end of wedding season, and a quickly approaching holiday season!  About this time each year, I like to share with you all a bit of holiday cheer ~ so here goes!

Over Thanksgiving I once again counted my blessings for my family, glad that we could still gather together around the holiday table and just enjoy each others company~ I'm graetful for Corey and our furry family, led by the two best hounds - Elvis and Hank, and of course I am graetful to you, my blog readers, clients and friends who have once again let me make one of my greatest passions, photography, into a job!!  Thank you!!

I have always loved Christmas, and now that I am older I really appreciate the meaning behind it all ~ it is no longer about how many gifts are under the tree ~ but now the true meaning of Christmas to me is simply being with those you love~ sitting around with family and friends, sharing laughter and stories from memories you have shared.  To me there is no greater gift!

In December Corey and I took a much needed weekend away to get a jump start on celebrating the Christmas season to New York City ~ here are a few of my favorite photos from our trip

The highlight of the trip for me was a night at the theater seeing a Christmas Story~ the Musical ~ fantastic!!

The city was decked out

We even saw the big guy himself at Radio City

And of course one of the most famous trees in the world at Rockefeller Center

Macy's was all about Believing

Yes!!

The holiday window displays were grand

Chestnuts roasting on an open fire (didn't smell very good)

And of course a few of our favorite new ornaments on our own tree....

Most of the Christmas Story ornaments light up or have sound.... like this one: Oh Fuuuuuuudgge!!

And of course a momento from our trip to NYC

Yesterday Elvis was eagerly looking our the window waiting for Santa

And Hank was just sitting back relaxing~ he knows he was a good boy and that Santa would come

A Merry Christmas and Happy New Years to you all!!!
